Who Started eBay And How Come Bids Have To Go Higher?

If you’re wondering who started eBay. you’d be incredibly surprised to hear that the start of this giant online auction was actually a very humble one.

Pegged to be around September, 1995, a 28-year-old software developer named Pierre Omidyar, who had previously worked with Claris developing software for Apple computers, wrote code that would eventually turn into the eBay that we all know and hopefully love today.

Probably Omidyar himself never saw what was soon to happen as his pen traced out the architecture for this monster.

But as we all know what has happened to eBay in the years since, a question rises from the vast amounts of money eBay has spawned…HOW COMES THE BIDS ON EBAY ALWAYS HAVE TO GO UP?!?

Think about it, while supply and demand seem to insist that bids go up when the deman goes up, is that always the case with online auctions?

NO!!!

Get ready for huge news…

There is now a revolutionary new online internet auction platform that features bids that go IN REVERSE!!! Yes, reverse. On this new reverse auction website, the item up for auction comes out and the price is well known to everyone.

Then the bidding begins as bidders use credits to see how much LOWER the price of the item has become. If the item cam out at $100, the new blind price could be $99.75 or it could be $62. And that is exactly the fun of all this.

That is what Omidyar didn’t write down! LOL

The guy who started eBay did an amazing thing for all of us, no doubt.

But he didn’t dream up bidding that goes in reverse.

And now, you don’t have to! Because it’s here!
